Rouble drops as tensions increase in Ukraine

The drop in the Russian rouble has increased as the Ukrainian authorities announced on Tuesday the beginning of a large-scale anti-terror operation in the eastern part of the country, RIA Novosti reports.

The US dollar is now being exchanged for 36.15 roubles, the euro for 49.92.
