Party of Regions urges Donetsk protesters to put down arms

Deputies of the Party of Regions from the Donetsk Region urged their compatriots participating in the protest movement to lay down their weapons and withdraw from administrative buildings.

“We address all our compatriots who are protesting in the towns of the Donetsk Region, we ask you: put down your arms, don’t risk the lives of peaceful citizens, withdraw from administrative buildings,” Interfax cites a resolution adopted by deputies from the Party of Regions.

They draw attention to the fact that disturbing the executive power bodies from their work deals a blow to the life support system of the towns and districts of the region.

The resolution also calls on the Ukrainian authorities to grant an amnesty to opponents of the Euromaidan.
