Ukraine receives first gas from Europe

Ukraine pumped 4 million cubic meters of gas from Poland on April 15, GAZ-SYSTEM reports.

Gas was delivered according to a deal of RWE and Naftogaz. The pipeline running through Hermanovici has a capacity of 1.5 billion cubic meters a year. The capacity for May will be on sale on April 24.

The pipeline had been used before Russia gave Ukraine a 30% discount for gas in December 2013. The discount remained throughout Q1 2014.
