Gabriel Garcia Marquez dies

Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez died at the age of 87 yesterday. He was discharged from hospital in Mexico after lung treatment a few days ago.The last respects to the Nobel Prize winner will be paid at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico on April 21, said head of the Mexican national cultural commission Rafael Tovar y de Teresa. He compared Marquez with great Russian writers of the 19th century.
