About 40% of Russians positive towards Vladimir Lenin - polls

38% of Russians questioned by the Levada Center have called Vladimir Lenin's role in the history of Russia positive. 21% disagree, 5% are negative towards his deeds and 23% have not expressed any alignment, RIA Novosti reports.


1603 people aged 18 and above were questioned in 130 residential areas of 45 regions in Russia on March 21-24, 2014. The statistical error is 3.4% at maximum.


The birthday of Vladimir Ulyanov, better known as Vladimir Lenin, a Russian revolutionary, political writer, founder of the Marxism-Leninism ideology, a political and state figure of world scale, will be marked on April 22.
