Russia may ban mercenaries in football

The Russian Football Union considers banning mercenaries, starting in the 2018/2019 season, Championat.com reports.

Russian Minister for Sports Vitaly Mutko said yesterday that President Vladimir Putin had made such order concerning mercenaries. Mutko added that a special law on mercenaries may be adopted in the near future.
