Germany to back any anti-Russian sanctions

Spokesman of the German government Steffen Seibert said that Germany would back any sanctions passed against Russia over the situation in Ukraine, ITAR-TASS reports.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and U.S. President Barack Obama, according to Seibert, will have a telephone conversation today and discuss the situation in Ukraine. Heads of other European governments and states will take part in the talks.
