The leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), Abdullah Öcalan, does not rule out a restart of conflict, but notes that the peace process is set to continue, Hürriyet Daily News reports.

In his latest message released after Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) deputies visited İmralı Prison on April 26, Öcalan said the peace process was changing.

“The peace process is changing its character. Every moment the opportunities of deepened solutions and possibilities of conflict are present,” Öcalan is quoted by Hürriyet Daily News as saying in his message.

“Especially the steps that the government will take might remove the possibility of conflict and might develop solutions,” he is quoted as saying.
