Police officer killed during questioning in Karachay-Cherkessia

Igor Belikov, aged 28, a resident of Udarny (Prikubansky District, Karachay-Cherkessia) stabbed a police officer with a kitchen knife while he was being questioning at a police post yesterday, ITAR-TASS reports.According to Sergey Shuvalov, spokesman of the regional Investigative Committee Directorate, Police Major Dakhir Baboyev died on his way to hospital. The murderer was caught a few hours later. He may be sentenced to life imprisonment.
