Kazakhstan launches first satellite
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe first Kazakh satellite has been launched from Kourou (French Guiana) using the Vega carrier. The satellite separated from Vega on the 56th minute, KazInform reports.
The Airbus Defense and Space (old name EADS Astrium) worked on development of the satellite for Kazcosmos for 4 years. KazEOSat-1 has a resolution of 1m, field of view of 20km, productivity of 220,000 square kilometers a day. It weights about 900kg and will operate for over 7 years.
Authorities of French space agencies and enterprises and the European Space Agency congratulated Talgat Musabayev, head of Kazcosmos, on success of the launch.
