Georgia expects new assistance program from IMF

The Government of Georgia discussed today with the mission of the International Monetary Fund the possibility of starting a new program for the country, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia reports.

The Georgian side expressed its hope for the successful launch of the program, which would be a signal to other donors and investors to intensify activities in Georgia.

The funds provided by the new program would be used for budgetary support and to stregnthen the reserves of the National Bank.
