Russian foreign minister and OSCE chairman discuss Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Didier Burkhalter, Swiss president and the OSCE chairman-in-office, are having a meeting in Vienna within the framework of the 124th session of the Council of Europe ministerial committee, RIA Novosti reports.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said earlier that Lavrov could discuss the situation in Ukraine at the session.

Burkhalter plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow tomorrow to talk about the Ukraine crisis and other issues in the context of the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Chief diplomats of Russia, U.S., EU and Ukraine came up with measures to settle the conflict in Ukraine at a in Geneva on March 17. The agreements reached at the meeting have not been implemented yet.
