Donetsk Governor says preparations for elections proceeding according to schedule

Sergey Taruta, the Governor of Ukraine's Donetsk Region, which is the main centre of the vehement pro-Russian unrest, says the preparations for the May 25 presidential elections are proceeding according to schedule.

However the situation in Sloviansk is so tense that the electoral commission will probably move to another settlement, the governor says.

Sloviansk in now controlled by pro-Russian militants.
