Abkhaz president hospitalized

Christian Bzhania, head of the Abkhaz Presidential Information Directorate, said that Abkhaz President Alexander Ankvab has been hospitalized with hypertensic crisis, ITAR-TASS reports.

The first symptoms were seen after the president’s multi-hour meeting with the public and members of the Amtsakhar Party. Doctors registered a rise in blood pressure. He arrived at the Sukhumi City Clinical Hospital at 9.15PM.

Doctors say that he is currently in a stable condition after treatment and his blood pressure is normal.
