Boston Marathon bomber’s lawyers demand abolishment of capital punishment

The lawyers of Dzhokhar Tsarnayev, suspected organizer of the Boston Marathon blast in April 2013, have demanded the abolishment of capital punishment, which, in their opinion, is unconstitutional, Gazeta.ru reports.

The lawyers noted that the number of executions had dropped dramatically in the past 10 years and more and more U.S. states were abolishing the practice. They added that there were many cases of innocent people being executed.
