Rebels in Sloviansk ready for talks with Ukrainian government

Pro-Russian rebels in the Eastern Ukrainian town of Sloviansk say they are ready for talks with the country's government if the governmental forces are withdrawn from the vicinity of the town, rebel leader Vyacheslav Ponomaryov is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

The militants also demand that the Ukrainian military should free the captured rebels.
