US says referendums in Eastern Ukraine are illegitimate

The referendums being held in Ukraine's Donetsk and Lugansk regions are illegitimate, spokesperson for the US Department of State Jen Psaki is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti. "These referendums violate international law and Ukraine's territorial integrity. The United States will not recognize the results of these polls," she is quoted as saying.
