Van Rompuy calls for dialogue in Ukraine

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy says that the Ukrainian authorities should establish a dialogue with the country's Eastern region so that the coming presidential elections are held in a calm atmosphere.

"Peace and stability are necessary to hold the elections. The European Union insists on the neccessity of dialogue between all parties," he said.
