Georgia and France discuss economic cooperation
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaFrench President Francois Hollande and Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili discussed economic cooperation in Tbilisi yesterday, Trend reports.
Garibashvili emphasized that Hollande’s visit was a sign of encouragement for the European course taken by Georgia. The sides discussed Georgia’s membership in NATO and plans to sign the EU association agreement in June.
The president and the PM spoke out for activation of parliamentary cooperation and cooperation in the military field. Garibashvili thanked France for backing Georgia's territorial integrity. He noted that Georgia paid special attention to the EU's assistance in crisis management. He expressed pride that Georgia will be a partner of France in the Central African Republic.
The French and Georgian delegations had a meeting after closed-door talks.
