Russian foreign ministry has not received Donetsk Republic's request

The Russian Foreign Ministry says it has not received any documents sent by the self-proclaimed People's Republic of Donetsk. Pro-Russian rebels have recently said they had sent a formal request for official recognition of the Donetsk Republic. 

According to Alexander Lukashevich, the spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, the most important thing for Ukraine right now is to establish a national dialogue and meet the provisions of the Geneva agreement.
