Kazakhstan opens 7th Astana Economic Forum

About 10,000 delegates from 150 countries are attending the 7th Astana Economic Forum hosted by Kazakhstan today. They will discuss financial and economic stability, development of trade and competition, prospects for energy and ecology, investments, innovations, infrastructure, social and cultural aspects of economic growth, Trend reports.The Forum is attended by Vice President of Afghanistan Mohammad Karim Khalili, Vice Prime Ministers Rasim Ljajic (Serbia), Paulo Portas (Portugal), Hussein al Shahristani (Iraq), Georgy Krivikashvili (Georgia), 131 ministers, presidents of central banks and their deputies, ambassadors, UN Under-Secretary-General Gyan Chandra Acharya, ECOSOC President Martin Sajdik, UNCTAD Secretary General Mukhisa Kituyi, WTO Deputy Secretary General David Shark, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Thierry de Longuemar and heads of other international and financial organizations.The Astana Economic Forum is one of the largest international forums of the world. Global leaders, experts and businessmen have been gathering at the Forum annually since 2008.
