At least 15 dead in Vladikavkaz blast

According to the latest information, 15 people have died and 70 have
been hospitalized after a terrorist blast at the central market in
Vladikavkaz.

A police source said that the explosive device, equal to 30-40 kg of
TNT, was planted beneath a vehicle. The device was activated by a
suicide bomber after the vehicle passed the market entrance.

The head of North Osseita-Alaniya Taymuraz Mamsurov is personally
helping organize transport from the scene.

Police have dismissed media reports about a second explosive device.
The prosecutor general of Russia has taken the case under his personal
control. The head of the Investigation Committee has departed to
Vladikavkaz.
