Global Policy Forum opens in Yaroslavl

Global Policy Forum in Yaroslavl, in which over 500 people from 29
countries will participate, RIA Novosti reports.
The Global Policy Forum 'The Modern State: Standards of Democracy and
Criteria of Efficiency' will be held under the patronage of Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev and will be a working platform where
politicians, experts and representatives of business structures will
exchange views on political and economic modernization.
Governor Bakhrukov said that the forum will be divided into 4 sections.
The head of the State University of Demidov in Yaroslavl Alexander
Rusakov noted that the conference in Yaroslavl last year was based on
issues of coping with the global economic recession, this year they
will discuss the post-crisis development of society.
Over 500 people, including members of 'Valday' discussion club,
organized in 2004 by RIA Novosti and the Council for Foreign and
Defense Policies (CFDP), newspaper The Moscow News, journal 'Russia in
Global Affairs' and Russia Profile.
