Kiev declares ceasefire during elections

The Ukrainian security forces will suspend their counter-terrorism operation on the day of the presidential elections on May 25th, the head of the Ukrainian Security Council, Valentin Nalivaichenko, says.

“Our target is to provide security, a peaceful and transparent path for all Ukrainian citizens, so that they can vote. We don’t plan any military operations on the day,” RIA Novosti cites him.
