Russia thanks Azerbaijan for ship rescue

The Russian Embassy in Baku has sent a letter of gratitude to the
Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The embassy thanked the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of SOCAR and the
Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, which took an active
part in saving the ship and its crew during the fire which occurred on
the night of 11-12 March in the fishing vessel "Kaykend", sailing
under the flag of the Russian Federation, reports Trend, citing the
official website of SOCAR.

Thanks to the good teamwork of Azerbaijani seamen and rescuers, it was
possible to rescue 15 members of the crew and ship with cargo on
board. The embassy appreciates this fact. The letter states that the
rescue by the Azerbaijani seamen of the Russian ship is another
manifestation of the friendly relations between the two countries.
