Israeli military officials responsible for Mavi Marmara incident sentenced
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRav Aluf Gabi Ashkenazi, an ex-chief of the Israeli General Staff, General Eliezer Alfred Maron of the Naval Forces, Major-General Amos Yadlin of the Defense Forces and General Avishay Levi of the Ground Forces have been sentenced by an Istanbul Court for organizing the attack on the Mavi Marmara Flotilla.
10 crew members, all of them Turks, were killed in the attack by the Israeli Naval Forces on the flotilla in the Mediterranean Sea on May 31, 2010. Hundreds of other crew members were detained. The flotilla consisted of six ships carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Israel and Turkey broke off military ties after the incident.
