Unknown gunmen shot dead the former Deputy Minister of Interior
Affairs of Adjara, Elgudzhu Jincharadze, last night near the ‘Ukraine’
hotel, Life News reports.

Witnesses said that Jincharadze was accompanied by two men that night.
They were having an argument when one of the men shot him. The
criminals left the scene in a silver-coloured car. The police later
stopped the car but there was a private taxi driver in it, who said
that he gave them a lift to the Rublyovskoye highway.

Elgudzhu Jincharadze became well-known during the ‘Adjaran crisis’
when Mikhail Saakashvili and the former head of Adjara, Aslan
Abashidze, were in opposition.
