Realization of French-Russian Mistral contract continues

France continues realization of the Mistral helicopter carrier contract signed with Russia. Two helicopter carriers will be shipped to Russia in October-November, ITAR-TASS reports.

A group of U.S. Congressmen sent a letter to NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, asking him to persuade France to cancel the deal and buy the ships for the Alliance itself.
