Russia does not oppose Ukraine's associate membership in EU, FM says

Russia does not oppose Ukraine's associate membership in the European Union, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says. According to the official, Russia has no plans to impose sanctions on Ukraine. 

"We do not oppose this process. We cannot force other countries to chose with which international bodies to cooperate," Lavrov is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
