Iran's Khamenei announces mass amnesty

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has announced a mass amnesty devoted to the birth of the 12th Imam Mahdi, Azerbaijani news agency Trend reports.

According to the document signed by Khamenei, some 1052 people are set to be released from prisons.
