EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs approves of Turkey joining EU

talks with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security
Policy, Catherine Ashton, TRT reports.
Ashton said at the meeting with Davutoglu that strategic dialogue
between Turkey and the EU is not an alternative to Turkish membership
of the EU.
Davutoglu had an informal meeting with ministers of foreign affairs of
the EU in Brussels. Ashton supports Turkish membership of the EU.
Davutoglu said that Turkey is continuing reforms to join the EU. At
the negotiations the sides also discussed resolving the Iranian
nuclear program.
Davutoglu had a business breakfast within the framework of his meeting
with EU ministers of foreign affairs in Egmont Palace, Brussels. He
exchanged views with his counterparts on regional and international
issues. Davutoglu had many bilateral talks as well.
