Ban Ki-moon supports Ukrainian president's peace plan

The UN Secretary General has welcomed Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's peace plan. The Ukrainian president recently ordered the country's military to stop the anti-terror operation in the eastern part of the country so that the rebels there would have a chance to surrender.

Ban Ki-moon held a phone conversation with the Ukrainian president today and told him that the UN supported a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
