Militant killed in Dagestan’s Derbent

A militant of the Yuzhnaya Group was killed in a private house in Derbent (Dagestan) by the local special forces, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

Ammunition, improvised bombs and booby traps were found in the building.

The militant was surrounded in the house last night. He refused to give up and opened fire from a submachine gun and a pistol.

A counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed in the Tsumadinsky District of Dagestan.
