Speaker of Russian Duma rules out isolation

 

Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin, said at the InvestRos Conference in Moscow that economic or political isolation of Russia was impossible. He reminded that Russia had political and macroeconomic stability suitable for investments, RIA Novosti reports.Naryshkin noted that foreign governments and corporations were pressurized to stop cooperating with Russia, especially in the energy sector and infrastructure.The speaker reminded that deals worth over 400 billion rubles had been made at the Saint-Petersburg Economic Forum in May 2014. In his words, it proved the impossibility of isolating Russia.Naryshkin believes that the Eurasian Economic Union gives new opportunities to expand ties, mobility of goods, services, capital and labour.
