Two Turks kidnapped in Libya

Two Turks working for a construction company in Libya have been kidnapped near the construction site of Summa Inshaat in Tripoli. Their current location is unknown, ITAR-TASS reports.

Libyan General Khalifa Hafter has declared a war on extremists and started a counter-terrorist operation in the east.

The general's formations said on June 22 that citizens of Turkey and Qatar had been given 48 hours to leave the territories controlled by the general’s forces. Refusal to leave will be punished with arrest. Over 400 workers of Turkish construction companies left Libya on June 24.

49 members of the Turkish consulate general in Mosul were taken hostage by Iraqi Islamists on June 11.
