Turkmenistan and Iran to intensify energy cooperation

 

The Turkmen Cabinet has discussed achievements of its delegation to Iran. Its governmental officials discussed cooperation in fuel and energy and modernization of petroleum infrastructure, Trend reports.Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that realization of the energy strategy was one of the aspects of mutually beneficial partnership in the sector. He highlighted the need to take complex measures in increasing export potential of the sector and volumes of extraction and processing of hydrocarbons.According to Iran, it has a trade turnover worth about $5 billion with Turkmenistan. The sides have potential to double it.
