Vice president of Heydar Aliyev Fund marks birthday

The Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Fund, Leyla Aliyeva, is marking her birthday today. Leyla Aliyeva took part in the opening of the St. Duke Vladimir monument in Astrakhan on December 20, 2013. The monument is associated with the Peoples’ Friendship Bridge, a children’s playground. The Heydar Aliyev Fund plans to open a nursery in Astrakhan.

Leyla Aliyeva took part in the opening of the Friendship Park in Volgograd, founded on June 5, 2013, within the framework of the 4th Russian-Azerbaijani Forum.

The Azerbaijani Republic Exposition was opened in Yekaterinburg on October 2013. The exposition was supported by the Heydar Aliyev Fund. Sultan Gasymov, the Azerbaijani consul general in Yekaterinburg, said that Leyla Aliyeva had visited city and its Children’s Oncohaematological Center at the Regional Clinical Hospital N1. An ambulance was presented to the Center. Gasymov added that an exposition was opened in the Sverdlovsk Oblast.

Aliyeva attend the annual Ramadan Pavilion at the Memorial Mosque at the Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. She started the iftar yesterday. Deputy Head of the Russian Mufti Council Shamil Alyatdinov thanked the Heydar Aliyev Fund and Leyla Aliyeva for organizing it.

Moscow and All-Russia Patriarch Kirill awarded the 3rd-rank Duchess St. Olga Order to Aliyeva on October 7, 2013, for helping build the St. Duke Vladimir monument in Astrakhan within the framework of the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Russia.
