Gelendzhik to initiate public discussions about Black Sea oil wells

Sharskmorneftegaz (Rosneft and Eni joint venture) will organize public discussions on August 1 about Black Sea oil well drilling at the Val-Shatsky section of the sea, Yuga.ru reports.

Public discussions of the project in Gelendzhik will consider documents for the Mariya-1 and the Severo-Chernomorskaya-1 boreholes and plans for prevention of oil spills. The boreholes will be made in 2015-2016. The area for drilling is located 50km from the coastline.

Activists willing to take part in the public discussions may register from July 1 to August 1.
