UN needs $3.4 billion to support Syrian refugees

The United Nations needs some $3.4 billion to provide the necessary aid to the Syrian refugees, the body's official website reads. According to the UN, if the funds aren't raised the Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries will face a humanitarian catastrophe.

There are now 2.9 Syrian refugees in the world.
