Turkey's Erdogan starts presidential campaign

Turkish Prime Minister and leader of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Recep Tayyip Erdogan is starting his presidential campaign. The head of the Turkish cabinet has addressed thousands of his supporters in the port of Sumsun.

Erdogan has been serving as the head of the government for 11 years. According to Turkish law he is not allowed to become prime minister for another term.
