Almaty will bid to host 2022 Olympics

 

Oslo (Norway), Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Beijing (China) will bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. The final date to file bids was in November. Krakow (Poland), Stockholm (Sweden) and Lviv (Ukraine) quit the campaign.Inspections to the three remaining cities will start in early 2015. President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov is the head of the IOC evaluating committee.The winner will be announced in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on July 31, 2015.
