OIC ex-head suspected of supporting occupation of Palestine

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu noted that calls of Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, an ex-head of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and a candidate for president of Turkey, for neutrality of Turkey in the Arab-Israeli conflict meant approval of occupation of Palestinian lands, Trend reports.Ihsanoglu insists that Turkey should play a mediating role in the Palestinian problem.Relations between Israel and Turkey went downhill after the attack of Israeli forces on the Mavi Marmara ship of the Freedom Flotilla carrying aid for the Gaza Strip in May 2010.
