Iran releases US citizen

US citizens Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd and Joshua Fattal were arrested on July 31, 2009 by Iranian border guards in the west of the country not far from Marivan village. They had visas to Iraq and Syria but no Iranian visa. The authorities of Iran said they would accuse them for espionage but later they said they are accusing them for illegal border crossing, RIA Novosti reports.
On September 12 the authorities of Iran told about their readiness to release Shourd for a $500 000 bail.
