Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili said at the 11th Georgia's European Way International Conference in Batumi today that the EU was playing the main role in stability and security of Georgia. He clarified that the role was evident in declarations of support, monitoring missions, special envoy of the Union for crises in the South Caucasus and Georgia and assistance at the Geneva negotiations, Trend reports.

The PM noted that European institutions were supporting its infrastructure and investment projects in transportation, energy and agriculture. Lifting visas for Georgia would be the best short-term progress in the republic's integration into Europe.

Garibashvili said that Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova had made their choice to integrate into Europe as members of the Eastern Partnership.
