Sergius of Radonezh remains arrive in Dagestan

Remains of St. Sergius of Radonezh have arrived in Makhachkala (Dagestan). The relic visits visites of the Makhachkala Eparchy on July 8-12. It has already been seen at the Archangel Mikhail in Grozny, the Orthodox monastery in Ingushetia and the St. George Cathedral in Kizlyar, RIA Novosti reports.

The relic will stay at the Makhachkala cathedral for two days and return to the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra.
Dagestan has about 100,000 Orthodox Christians, according to official information.
