Rostov hippodrome to become 2018 FIFA World Cup fan zone

Yuri Balakhnin, the minister for sports of the Rostov Oblast, said that the Rostov hippodrome would be the best place for a fan zone during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Yuga.ru reports.

A FIFA delegation will decide whether to approve his idea or not. It may also form a fan zone on the left bank of the River Don. Teatralnaya and Fontannaya Squares have been listed as fan zones in the candidate file of Rostov-on-Don.
