Integrity of Iraq will guarantee stability in region – Iran

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Sunni extremists had stepped up their activities in Iraq recently. He stated that all countries, including Iran and the U.S., were interested in the integrity of Iraq and stability in the region, ITAR-TASS reports.

Zarif noted that Iran had great influence on Iraq.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) has recently taken a set of territories in the northern part of Iraq under its control. It has become a threat to the security of Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and Iran.
