Levon Ayrapetyan, the 10th richest Armenian in the world, was detained by FSB officers at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport yesterday. He arrived from Monaco. Investigators will file a request to the Basmanny Court to arrest Ayrapetyan as part of the Kingiseppskaya Gang, Rosbalt reports.

The gang is headed by Sergey Finagin. Ex-senator Igor Izmestyev, currently in jail for life, told investigators that Ayrapetyan had contacts with the criminal group.

U.S. entrepreneur Kirk Kerkorian, the founder and president of Tracinda Corporation, tops the list of richest Armenians. Ayrapetyan is a major lobbyist advocating recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
