South Pars to boost ethylene production fourfold in Iran

Increase of gas extraction on the 15th and 16th phases of the South Pars Field will boost ethylene production fourfold to 2 million tons a year, said Ramazan Uladi, the director general of Kavian Petrochemical Company in Asaluye, Ien.ru reports.The company is operating with an output of 50%. The second block of the company is about to be launched. Uladi clarified that the first block has an output of 1 million tons of ethylene a year. Extraction of 100 million cubic meters of gas a day at South Pars would optimize supplies of the petrochemical company.
