Two police killed in Kabardino-Balkaria

Unidentified assailants shot dead two policemen in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.

"At 23.40 on Wednesday, near the central railway station of Baksan, in the Kabardino-Balkaria republic, unknown assailants… opened fire on a squad car," police were quoted as saying by Interfax.

Two police officers died of their injuries at the scene. The attackers fled.
